Night of Museums

The leitmotif of the Night of Museums at the Film Museum will be the work of Juliusz Machulski. We invite you to the Museum on the 20th of May from 6 PM to 1 AM.

On the 35th anniversary of the premiere of Vabank and the 30th anniversary of the completion of Kingsajz we will show you, in a very special way, exhibits related to the film productions by Juliusz Machulski.
We will present you frivolous photos that Kwinto and Duńczyk could watch in a historical photoplasticon that appeared in Vabank. Entry after verification of ID card.

Our internal court will showcase, in a very unique manner, the props from the set of Kingsajz. The Museum cinema, Kinematograf, will screen etudes by Juliusz Machulski, which were produced in the Lodz Film School: a crime story Gorączka mleka and a fully timeless documentary Paralaksa which uses as it motto a saying: “Your point of view depends on where you sit”. We also have a musical-film surprise for you!

The screenings will start at 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 PM and midnight.

But this is not all that we have in store! During the night tours of the Film Museum you will see among others the exhibition “Small, Grand Works” presenting the works of the three generations of the artistic Młodożeniec family; “Palace Full of Stories” – exhibition enabling you to walk into Reksio’s kennel or go on a cruise with Bolek and Lolek. You will also be able to admire beautiful, historical rooms of Scheibler’s Palace.

We invite you to the Night of Museums on Saturday, the 20th of May, from 6 PM to 1 AM.

Free entrance.
