September prologues of the Media Festival “Man in Danger” begin. We would like to invite you to the screenings of 21 x New York and First Pole on Mars.  

The prologue of the Media Festival “Man in Danger” in Niebostan! A series of after-summer meetings with documentary films starts with a hypnotising and much debated documentary by Piotr Stasik – 21 x New York. We would like to invite you to see the film on Sunday, 24 of September at 7 p.m.

21 x New York is a trance essay about the condition of a contemporary man, featuring 21 persons the director meets in the NY subway. Piotr Stasik encourages his interlocutors to get involved in surprisingly intimate and open confessions of their dreams, love and loneliness.

Last year the film won The Patient Eye Award in Honour of Kazimierz Karabasz at the Media Festival “Man in Danger”.

First Pole on Mars – a document by Agnieszka Elbanowska, is our next September prologue leading to the 27th Media Festival “Man in Danger”. On Thursday, 28 of September, at 6 pm, we would like to invite you to see the film in the Kinematograf cinema.

The main character of the First Pole on Mars is Kazimierz who volunteered to programme Mars One. If he wins the qualifications, he will be the first man to land on the planet. He will reach it, but he will not return to the Earth…

The film was co-financed by the Łódź Film Fund which is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. The screening of the documentary will be a chance to celebrate the decade of the Łodź Film Fund activity as well as to discuss its work.
