Together with the Film School we would like to invite you to the vernissage of exhibition of artwork titled “Piotr Szulkin: GOES BY”. The vernissage will be held on Tuesday, the 28th of February, at 5 PM.

After the vernissage we would like to invite to a meeting with the author and the screening of Piotr Szulkin’s film Ubu Król (King Ubu).

Piotr Szulkin, the artist of image and word, the author possessing amazing imagination, graduated from the Direction Department of the Łódź Film School and now works as a lecturer at the same faculty. A director, screenwriter, prose writer. He is famous of his tetralogy consisting of the following films: Golem, Wojna światów – Następne stulecie (The War of the Worlds: Next Century ), O-Bi, O-Ba. Koniec cywilizacji (O-Bi, O-Ba: The End of Civilization), i Ga, ga. Chwała bohaterom (Ga, ga. Glory to the Heroes). Sci-fi assumptions have been filtrated through plasticity and onirism typical for his work. The result is a unique – author’s own – film language that thrills both critics and viewers.
Admission to the vernissage, meeting and the screening is free of charge.
