Meeting with Jerzy Hoffman

On the 100th anniversary of Henryk Sienkiewicz’s death we would like to invite you the a meeting with Jerzy Hoffman and the discussion on his film adaptation of the Trilogy.


Jerzy Hoffman will be the guest of the Film Museum on the 16th of November at 6 PM. The meeting will be followed by a screening of a film titled Potop Redivivus.
The Film Museum is hosting an exhibition Sienkiewicz in Film, which presents all international film adaptations of the works by the poet and the Nobel Prize winner for literature.
A special place is devoted to the film adaptations of the Trilogy directed by Jerzy Hoffman: Pan Wołodyjowski (Fire in the Steppe, 1969), Potop (The Deluge, 1974), Ogniem i mieczem (With Fire and Sword, 1999) and Potop Redivivus (2014) (a new version of the film from 1974 – renovated and reedited).
Entrance to the meeting and the screening is free. Guests will be allowed in based on free tickets which will be available in the Museum ticket office since Thursday, the 10th of November, 3 PM.
