Student Oscar for Klara Kochańska

On Tuesday, the 4th of October, at 6 PM we would like to invite you to the screening of a graduation film titled “Lokatorki (Tenants)” and a meeting with its director, Klara Kochańska.

The film was awarded a Student Oscar during this year’s edition of the Student Academy Award in the Foreign Film category.

Lokatorki tells a story of Justyna, a lonely woman in her thirties who, in spite of related risk, buys an apartment at a debt auction. On the move-in day it turns out that they keys do not fit into the lock and Justyna cannot get into her dream house.

After the meeting we will show you also the earlier films of Klara Kochańska, which have been prepared in the Łódź Film School: Zmartwychwstanie (Resurrection), Melancholia (Melancholy), Królowa Śniegu (Snow Queen) and 10 Agpar (10 Agpar Points).

Free entrance.

Student Academy Award was established in 1972. Every year the Academy grants awards in four categories: Animation, Documentary, Narrative and Alternative. There are parallel categories for students of film schools in the USA and for foreign students.

Student Academy Award for Klara Kochańska is the first ever award for a film produced in the Łódź Film School.
